Our acclaimed team of terror successfully produced and managed three haunted houses in downtown Houston for more than a decade. In 2001, the Edge of Darkness, The Haunted Hotel, and The Haunted Zone in 3D were moved to the current location on a 4.5-acre lot at 2225 N. Sam Houston Parkway, allowing for expansion and enhanced customer service.
After erecting a new 12,000-square-foot building to host all three haunted attractions under the facility name of “ScreamWorld,” the haunted areas were completely redesigned to maximize the fright factor and give our customer more mayhem for their money. In addition, customers only wait in line once to attend all attractions at ScreamWorld, unlike the multiple lines systems that plague our competitors. At ScreamWorld, we promise to give you more scares per square foot than any haunted attraction in Houston.
The haunted attractions are designed with a seamless, yet obvious transition point from one to the next. The Haunted Hotel specializes in high-tech animatronic monsters complete with a full-size car driving right at you at break-neck speed and 12 rooms packed with more than 50 scary faces, some alive, some not. Edge of Darkness is a dark, cold, old-fashioned haunted house with traditional “fear in your face” effects. Movie Monsters in 3D features some of the creepiest artwork on earth. This visual wonderland includes brilliant-colored murals featuring contemporary and classic monsters that true horror fans will love reminiscing over. Our Maze of Maniacs is an outdoor maze of fright-filled twists and turns full of surprises that are not for the faint of heart. TheTobias Strange Family Cemetery is an outdoor tomb of terror where the Strange Family comes alive nightly.
Please remember ScreamWorld has a no-touch policy. Simply put: we don’t touch you and you don’t touch us. We feel that if a haunted house must touch you to scare you, then they don’t understand the art and ingenuity of scaring someone with the element of surprise. 1.) Your advertising says “5 haunted attractions”. Why do I only see one building?
When we were located in downtown Houston in separate buildings many customers complained about having to wait in three different lines. With all 3 haunted houses in one building, an outdoor maze, and an outdoor cemetery you only have to wait in one line.
2.) Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes
3.) Can I use a coupon on the discounted “Thursday Night Special" or The "Sunday Family Nightl"?
Yes.
4.) Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, Visa and Master Card.
5.) Why are there no prices for children?
ScreamWorld is not recommended for children under 12 years old. Also, we have 5 family discount nights on the first 5 Sundays we are open.
6.) Can I wear sandals inside ScreamWorld?
The scares at ScreamWorld are very intense and sandals are NOT recommended
7.) Does Screamworld have a concession stand?
